Welcome to the Blog Plantation Y'all

Our family welcomes you and thanks you for stopping by to visit. We are delighted you have taken a few minutes out of your day to spend with us. We are Joe and Jessica. We have two children and one very regal beagle! We post often and it usually includes details of our Christian faith; life here in the South; entertaining our family and friends; tales of our travels; as well as the daily adventures of having two children. Oh, and our passion for Alabama Crimson Tide Football!
Grab a mint julep, relax, and enjoy the site. Don't forget to leave us a message. You can click under any blog entry to do so. We love to hear from our guests.

My mother's legacy, Orren's room, and towels

Here are the children's new beach towels I had done this week. I am so excited, I cannot wait for the children to get to use them.

AND
my little brother was kind enough to let us borrow his painting. My Mother painted this for him a few years ago. She is so talented and I often feel so inferior to her. Not just as an artist, but as a hostess, mother, and woman in general. She is the most amazing woman I have ever known and if I could ever be 1/2 the woman she is, my life will have been a success. Anyway, she is extremely talented and at one time designed men's ties for Oscar de la Renta. Wemco, and was shown in three different galleries in New Orleans. God could not have blessed me with a better Mother! I thank him everyday for her and for my Dad.

Since we are doing the football theme in his room, I think it is perfect! Now to get the navy blue paint on the walls. I picked it out and it should be done by next week! YEAH!!!!
I will of course post pictures when it is done!

We had a great day here at the blog plantation!
It is terribly cold and we have the fire going in the fireplace. Joe and Olivia are working on math homework and Orren has turned in for the night.
So, I am blogging early as Joe and I will be watching a movie in a bit!
Be blessed Y'all!
