Welcome to the Blog Plantation Y'all

Our family welcomes you and thanks you for stopping by to visit. We are delighted you have taken a few minutes out of your day to spend with us. We are Joe and Jessica. We have two children and one very regal beagle! We post often and it usually includes details of our Christian faith; life here in the South; entertaining our family and friends; tales of our travels; as well as the daily adventures of having two children. Oh, and our passion for Alabama Crimson Tide Football!
Grab a mint julep, relax, and enjoy the site. Don't forget to leave us a message. You can click under any blog entry to do so. We love to hear from our guests.
(Also, please remember that all writings and pictures are the sole property of the blog plantation and it's authors and may not be duplicated, unless otherwise noted. )

Thanks for dropping by Y'all!

Is it just at our house?

Oh sweet socks why do you stray? We provide a good home for you don't we? I wash you and mend you. I spare no expense on laundry detergent to keep you clean. Tide, Clorox and Downy all for you. Bounce dryer sheets to keep you from getting shocked (OK that is as much for me as you, but it is true) and we keep you warm. We never abuse you by wearing you outside without shoes, although a child has been known to slide down the stairs or the wooden floors with you. But were they not reprimanded? Did I not defend you? Have I failed you? I feel so used. I mean you just sneak out, wander off, just disappear! Gone, without so much as a letter. No phone calls, no texts. You don't even try Facebook! So I sit and wait for your return. Is it all in vain? Are all of your siblings destined to leave me as well?

I would like to use this in a creative writing class at UGA. I will be emailing you for permission. This is exactly the way I want my students to think.

The socks got to an alternative universe and send back plastic grocery bags. They used to send back wire coat hangers, but not any more.
