Welcome to the Blog Plantation Y'all

Our family welcomes you and thanks you for stopping by to visit. We are delighted you have taken a few minutes out of your day to spend with us. We are Joe and Jessica. We have two children and one very regal beagle! We post often and it usually includes details of our Christian faith; life here in the South; entertaining our family and friends; tales of our travels; as well as the daily adventures of having two children. Oh, and our passion for Alabama Crimson Tide Football!
Grab a mint julep, relax, and enjoy the site. Don't forget to leave us a message. You can click under any blog entry to do so. We love to hear from our guests.

Did you know Alabama Crimson Tide has a hockey team?

So we move from football to hockey here at Chateau Breland. We are so looking forward to going to the Alabama Frozen Tide Hockey games. I know they started in October, but we can only handle one sport at a time. We are so lucky that the Alabama Hockey team Frozen Tide plays their home games @ the Pelham Civic Complex. It is less than 10 miles from our house! We visit for ice skating all of the time. Which is how we found out about the Hockey.
Anyway, they are off for a few weeks for CHRISTmas but will start back in Jan. Last year Joe and Olivia ( Orren was still too young, but he will be ready now) had so much fun going to the games and Olivia even got to "throw" a puck into the center of the ring for a prize! It is a great family night out, it supports the TIDE (who are in the running for SEC championship in Hockey) If you are in the area around Helena or visiting soon check out a Frozen Tide game here is the schedule I do encourage you to attend f you get the chance, it is awesome.

I am not feeling very well today. In fact all I have done is lie in bed and every now and then pick up the computer. I understand this tummy bug is sweeping the area, even my neighbors have it. My sweet husband is frying fish for dinner so at least no one will starve. I will not be eating. Hope to be better and "post" better tomorrow. Ya'll have a great night!
Merry CHRISTmas
