Welcome to the Blog Plantation Y'all

Our family welcomes you and thanks you for stopping by to visit. We are delighted you have taken a few minutes out of your day to spend with us. We are Joe and Jessica. We have two children and one very regal beagle! We post often and it usually includes details of our Christian faith; life here in the South; entertaining our family and friends; tales of our travels; as well as the daily adventures of having two children. Oh, and our passion for Alabama Crimson Tide Football!
Grab a mint julep, relax, and enjoy the site. Don't forget to leave us a message. You can click under any blog entry to do so. We love to hear from our guests.

Mardi Gras starts today!

Mardi Gras starts today!

I hope that it is a fantastic season for all of you! Know what that means here? I have been decorating. Here are a couple of pictures I will post more through the season. AND
MMMMMMMMMMM King Cake! It won't be long before it arrives! Be safe out there and enjoy!

"throw me somethin' mister"

We are also going to the doctor today. We are saying prayers that we will be off quarantine and well. The place is healed and looks great! Orry will most likely get shots today though!

We will update later!

Oh, I do hope that little Orren gets a good report. You will be in my thoughts today.

And I love the decor. Happy Mardi Gras season!

Does that mean it begins in Mobile too? I have to admit, I am absolutely CLUELESS about Mardi Gras.

Except for what I have heard about New Orleans and the phrase "throw me some beads". I won't be participating in that little tradition.

I love me some Mardi Gras! Ordered a pecan praline king cake yesterday (no fair - your post caused cravings!) and it should be arriving on Saturday. Went with Haydel's this time instead of Randazzo's, so hoping it's just as good. Are y'all going to the NOLA Mardi Gras parades this year?
