Welcome to the Blog Plantation Y'all

Our family welcomes you and thanks you for stopping by to visit. We are delighted you have taken a few minutes out of your day to spend with us. We are Joe and Jessica. We have two children and one very regal beagle! We post often and it usually includes details of our Christian faith; life here in the South; entertaining our family and friends; tales of our travels; as well as the daily adventures of having two children. Oh, and our passion for Alabama Crimson Tide Football!
Grab a mint julep, relax, and enjoy the site. Don't forget to leave us a message. You can click under any blog entry to do so. We love to hear from our guests.
(Also, please remember that all writings and pictures are the sole property of the blog plantation and it's authors and may not be duplicated, unless otherwise noted. )

Thanks for dropping by Y'all!

I will let you guess a title for this one!

The blog plantation actually saw snow yesterday.

Not too much, but we did have some. Just enough to get the children excited. It is so cold. I am so ready for spring!! That groundhog better not see his shadow or we are going to have words. Speaking of, for those of you that don't know, the Birmingham Zoo is doing a groundhog day celebration. Here are the details. It is on Saturday January 31, 2009 at 10:00 AM
My parents will be visiting, so Mother and I will take the children and Joe and my Dad will hang out here. We are very excited about it and I think it will be a lot of fun. I have heard rave reviews about it in the past.

Today is the day to get your free make-up so don't forget! Here is th
e link one more time. Remember I love you all, but if you get in my way........... LOL

I am the new events director for the
Shelby County Republican Party and Headquarters coordinator. (Per my retreat this weekend which was a lot of fun and productive!) If you live in Shelby county and are interested in volunteering or getting involved, get in touch with me. I have a few internships to offer as well, so if you know of a college student looking, send them to me!

I think that is going to do it for me!

Have a great day out there Ya'll!

I'm in like Flynn! Don't know if I ever mentioned this or not, but I volunteered w/ the Morgan Co. Republicans in high school and college. Met some GREAT folks - Check my blog later today, I'll post pics of the Bean with Rep. Mickey Hammon (LOVE him!), Morgan Co. Rev. Commish Amanda Scott (used to work in her office during summer break) and Sen. Jeff Sessions (the sweetest man . . .) I have been dying to get involved since we moved, but didn't want to come in during the end of an election cycle. Count me in, girlfriend!
