Welcome to the Blog Plantation Y'all

Our family welcomes you and thanks you for stopping by to visit. We are delighted you have taken a few minutes out of your day to spend with us. We are Joe and Jessica. We have two children and one very regal beagle! We post often and it usually includes details of our Christian faith; life here in the South; entertaining our family and friends; tales of our travels; as well as the daily adventures of having two children. Oh, and our passion for Alabama Crimson Tide Football!
Grab a mint julep, relax, and enjoy the site. Don't forget to leave us a message. You can click under any blog entry to do so. We love to hear from our guests.
(Also, please remember that all writings and pictures are the sole property of the blog plantation and it's authors and may not be duplicated, unless otherwise noted. )

Thanks for dropping by Y'all!

Congratulations and a Trip!

Congratulations to Helena for being one on the nation's top 100 best places to live 2009!
AGAIN!

Told y'all we lived in an amazing city! Here is the full story

We went to visit Friends and Family in Mississippi

We had a great meal with the family

so proud of our brother in law

The cousins played

Met our nephew's girlfriend

Visited a car show,

since we were not able to get together with Joe's High School friends.

We did not make it to Jackson for a birthday party either.

It was a great weekend with just a tad of drama.

But, life couldn't be any other way.
I am pricing a new set of tires and a catalytic converter if that tells you anything.

But we made it to the family reunion on Sunday afternoon. Even though it was doubtful to some and the "Aunts" called several times to check on us because we were late.

It was a lot of fun and my husband's family was so happy to see him and his sister. Their father passed away a few years ago and his brothers and sisters were more than excited to see Joe and Christy.

How cool that Helena made the list again! Calera was on there too - I was sort of surprised! That was my Dad's hometown.

Looks like y'all had a nice weekend. I'm so glad.
