Welcome to the Blog Plantation Y'all

Our family welcomes you and thanks you for stopping by to visit. We are delighted you have taken a few minutes out of your day to spend with us. We are Joe and Jessica. We have two children and one very regal beagle! We post often and it usually includes details of our Christian faith; life here in the South; entertaining our family and friends; tales of our travels; as well as the daily adventures of having two children. Oh, and our passion for Alabama Crimson Tide Football!
Grab a mint julep, relax, and enjoy the site. Don't forget to leave us a message. You can click under any blog entry to do so. We love to hear from our guests.

BLESS YOU BOYS!
That's right the SAINTS won the Superbowl, We watched every second, all 8 hours of pregame coverage and the post game. We had an amazing feast and great family fellowship! I know that my Granddaddy is celebrating with the angels and Buddy D tonight in heaven. I will post more tomorrow, but for now we are still celebrating, My heart is so full that the tears have been streaming down my face since the 2:00 minute warning! Here is a peek into our feast. Much more to come on Thursday!

Love your tablescape for the game. I knew what colors to wear to the Super Bowl party we attended last night because of YOU! lol Shows how much I am into football.
On a much more serious note, I am incredibly sorry about the young girl who has lost her life. The impact on your daughter could have a serious impact on her. I know... and I am not telling you anything you do not know. Wish I had a way of communicating with you that was not so public. My brother has gone through serious depression all of his life that began when a classmate of his was killed in a car wreck... and none of us in our family ever knew that he could not handle her loss very well. Believe me, a counseling session or two would have been life-changing for my brother. Having found this out just within that past three months I now look back and see where I did not counsel my own sons enough when they each lost close friends. (Not sure I would have known exactly what to say.) Anyhow... I just felt compelled to mention this to you.
Hugs and prayers for the "Princess".

Hey did you see this story, it's no wonder these guys love playing for this dude !

Ever focused on the mood of his players, the Saints' head coach kicked off Super Bowl week by donning a bellhop uniform and helping with luggage when the team bus showed up at its downtown Miami hotel on Monday.
