Welcome to the Blog Plantation Y'all

Our family welcomes you and thanks you for stopping by to visit. We are delighted you have taken a few minutes out of your day to spend with us. We are Joe and Jessica. We have two children and one very regal beagle! We post often and it usually includes details of our Christian faith; life here in the South; entertaining our family and friends; tales of our travels; as well as the daily adventures of having two children. Oh, and our passion for Alabama Crimson Tide Football!
Grab a mint julep, relax, and enjoy the site. Don't forget to leave us a message. You can click under any blog entry to do so. We love to hear from our guests.
(Also, please remember that all writings and pictures are the sole property of the blog plantation and it's authors and may not be duplicated, unless otherwise noted. )

Weekends like this....

This was one VERY busy weekend!
My goodness!
It was also full of emotion!

To start off, we had a Christmas party
at our home for the children's C.A.R Chapter

( Daniel, who is President, and Olivia Second Vice President,
lead the meeting prior to the party)

Then,  we were in our local parade.
It was so much fun and super cold!
Both of the children had a great time throwing candy to the crowds!

Big thank you to April Weaver for asking us to ride with her!
Don't forget to give her your vote
House of Representatives District 49!

It over lapped by about 15 minutes into our Crimson Tide
playing and winning the S E C Championship

Not to worry though,
The men on this float thought ahead
and this was on the float as well

As you can see crystal clear reception.
The satellite was hidden in the decorations of the float

Then we dropped by Laura Beth's
for a bit to take in some of the game with her crew.

Then it was back to our home
for an ornament exchange and then bedtime!

This morning, being that it is the second Sunday of advent.......
we had our family service.

We lit our second candle read
 Luke 1:26-38
and sang
 "O little town of Bethlehem"

Next up, cheering on the SAINTS!
Yes, our beloved Saints are still undefeated!!

After that, we spent the evening at our Neighborhood Christmas party.
We had crafts and sweets as well as a visit from the Head Elf!
There are forth coming pictures of this event!
Soon

THANKS FOR DROPPING BY Y'ALL!
