Welcome to the Blog Plantation Y'all

Our family welcomes you and thanks you for stopping by to visit. We are delighted you have taken a few minutes out of your day to spend with us. We are Joe and Jessica. We have two children and one very regal beagle! We post often and it usually includes details of our Christian faith; life here in the South; entertaining our family and friends; tales of our travels; as well as the daily adventures of having two children. Oh, and our passion for Alabama Crimson Tide Football!
Grab a mint julep, relax, and enjoy the site. Don't forget to leave us a message. You can click under any blog entry to do so. We love to hear from our guests.

Iron Bowl Game day!

You have heard that here in the south football is a religion.
There is a lot of truth to that.
This is one place that you will find just as many women pumped up for a Saturday of football as any man. Weddings, Christenings, even Funerals are planned around it.

Today in Alabama, the game of ALL games.
The Iron Bowl.
 Alabama VS Auburn.
Nothing, not even Black Friday is more important.

It was a true battle of gladiators and well fought!
Thank goodness our precious Crimson Tide won the day.
We are now on to the SEC Championship next week.
After a little Deep fried Gator, with any luck
we will play in the National Championship!
Here was the celebration at our home.

Before the food

After the Food

Orry had his own little Iron Bowl Game.
It looked more like the A Day Game though!

Looking forward to blogging full time again this week!

Thanks for dropping by Y'all!

Jennifer~ it was a game to try the nerves for certain. Thank you for your kind words about the swerving pieces. we kind of like them a lot too!
Judy~ THAT game could have gone either way! BOTH teams played hard. I truly feell as though Auburn played with more heart than we did. Congrats on a game well played and thank you!

Love your Alabama stuff! It was a tight game, though - our boys need to get it together before next weekend! Hope y'all had a good Thanksgiving, and will give you a ring soon to find out all the details :-)
