Thrifty Thursday, Tablescape Thursday

You want to be sure to see my Thrifty Thursday
scroll all the way down!

Our Hostess for Tablescape Thursday today is Susan @
Between Naps on the Porch

When I entertain for large groups I love to have" stations"

Cake station

Panini Station

Drink station

Our hostess for Thrifty Thursday is Leigh @ Tales from Bloggeritaville

This is something that excited me beyond words! I entertain a lot, so I am always looking for something beautiful and functional. This particular quest has been YEARS in the making. I thought I had always wanted a glass hexagon shaped drink dispenser. You know like this

From Sur la Table ( one of my favorite catalogs)
But something always held me back.

But then by chance, I found this

I adore it and way more than the other!
I love the finish and I love the solid brass spigot
It holds 2 gallons

the other one holds 3 gallons.
plastic spigot
That one $ 70.00 (without stand) add another $18.00 for the stand

Now here is the best part

mine under $10.00!!
reasonably priced to begin with and totally worth it.
But then mispriced!

The lady said she had to give it to me at that price. I was so lucky!
So I truly feel I had an awesome Thrifty Thursday!

Good things come to those who wait!

Your tablescape is so pretty!

There is a glass drink dispenser at Hobby Lobby that I am in love with. We DONT entertain much at all however and it would be a waste of space and money. But I look at it everytime I am in there.

You are one lucky girl on the drink dispenser!! I love the "station" idea. I think it helps with serving a large crowd much better than a buffet!

I was once at a youth convention. One of the exhibitors kept a glass hexagon drink dispenser JUST LIKE THAT ONE with iced lemon water. It was the MOST popular of all the exhibits - - - everyone lined up to get that icy refreshing drink of water!!!

I know you'll love your drink dispenser! I have the octagonal one - but not the stand -- I need to find one of those!

Your table scape is beautiful. That cake looks like it might be as good as it looks.
Your drink dispenser was such a bargain, I'll be you're glad you waited. It's lovely.

I like that you have different stations. That way everyone isn't bunching up in the same place. And great thrifty find!!!

How great that they honored it! I've picked up a few things over the years that are mismarked...you have to be ready to walk away too. But I LOVE that drink dispenser.

Oh, I love your bargain! I've been looking at one similar at my Hobby Lobby! I agree with you, when I entertain large groups, "stations" are the trick. It helps with traffic flow and everyone isn't waiting behind each other. Great post! May you have a Happy Easter!

Great ideas...love the stations. A quick blogging question...How did you get the neat font on your blog? I'm tired of those few choices in blogger. You can visit my blog and answer if you would...season-to-season.blogspot.com. Thanks, Peggy from PA
