Welcome to the Blog Plantation Y'all

Our family welcomes you and thanks you for stopping by to visit. We are delighted you have taken a few minutes out of your day to spend with us. We are Joe and Jessica. We have two children and one very regal beagle! We post often and it usually includes details of our Christian faith; life here in the South; entertaining our family and friends; tales of our travels; as well as the daily adventures of having two children. Oh, and our passion for Alabama Crimson Tide Football!
Grab a mint julep, relax, and enjoy the site. Don't forget to leave us a message. You can click under any blog entry to do so. We love to hear from our guests.
(Also, please remember that all writings and pictures are the sole property of the blog plantation and it's authors and may not be duplicated, unless otherwise noted. )

It is time again!

I am so excited because we live in THE MOST charming city ever. I did mention to all of you before that we were on the top 100 best places to live in the United States and ranked the 13th best place to raise a family in the United States, right? I was certain I had already bragged about that!
Anyway, Old Town is already full of nostalgic charm and history, but the rest of Helena is well on its way to renovations that will coincide with this charm. We have so many festivals and family events one cannot help but feel as though you have stepped back in time to when things were slower, safer, and well charmed. As part of this, the city does a SUNDOWN CINEMA right in the heart of Old Town in the amphitheater. It has come to be one of my family's can't miss events!
So the blankets are ready, the chairs are packed, and the "off" is loaded.
Here is the list of what is still to come this summer:
June 5 ~ Iron Man (pg-13)
June 12~ Kung Fu Panda (Pg)
June 19~ October Sky (Pg)
June 26 ~ Happy Feet (pg)
July 3 ~ Over the Hedge (pg)
July 10 ~ Igor (pg)
July 17 ~ Little Big League (pg)
July 24 ~ Journey to the Center of the Earth (In 3-D)
July 31 ~ Madagascar 2 (pg)
Aug 7 ~ Indian Jones: Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (pg-13)

Now don't forget Helena Market Days tomorrow. Another reason to love the city we are in! It begins at 8:00 am and it sells out fast! Cooking demonstrations tomorrow will be provided by:
Chef Etricia Williams, 122 Tree Lane
This is truly an amazing event. If you are in the B'ham area think Pepper Place just smaller!
