beauty everywhere

When we were at the beach, we took a long walk and found this.
I thought it was so beautiful and how I wanted to bring it home. But God had another idea in mind. In fact, he has the gorgeous piece lodged so deeply, no one is going to take it anywhere!
So there it will remain for all to see and enjoy. As it should be. It has been there for a few months now, according to the locals. Many try to pull it up as my husband did. Many photograph it. Many just sit in awe of it. I wonder it's story. From where it came, what it has been through? How did it become so beautifully aged?
Maybe this is a modern day Excalibur waiting for the right King Aurthur to claim it and release all the beauty it holds.

I would want it too! I love drift wood and would love a large interesting piece like that.

We went out to Fort Morgan near the Fort. There is a log out there that is perfect for parking yourself on and watching the waves!

How pretty! You should blow that pic up and put it in a frame somewhere to remind you of the beach year-round. We're still talking about going with y'all sometime this fall!
