Our family welcomes you and thanks you for stopping by to visit. We are delighted you have taken a few minutes out of your day to spend with us. We are Joe and Jessica. We have two children and one very regal beagle! We post often and it usually includes details of our Christian faith; life here in the South; entertaining our family and friends; tales of our travels; as well as the daily adventures of having two children. Oh, and our passion for Alabama Crimson Tide Football!
Grab a mint julep, relax, and enjoy the site. Don't forget to leave us a message. You can click under any blog entry to do so. We love to hear from our guests.

The Great Flood

Well, we just couldn't have any more rain here.
We took the children down to have dinner
at The Depot so that we could sit and watch the rising water!

Have a look at some of the pictures from this afternoon!

WOW!

This is normally
A waterfall.
A fairly large waterfall

Here is what it looks like on a normal day
OK back to today

This is our amphitheater

The police came while we were eating and roped it off

Some of our magical places

Can't you just hear the fairies playing?

Just to show you how quickly the water is rising
This is the amphitheater when we first got there

This is what it looked like when we left
after eating our dinner

Well, ours isn't that bad, but we have had more rain already than we usually get in a year and a half. Everything is totally water logged and it's a mess. Looks like you guys have more than enough. Hugs, Marty

Wow! How exciting(provided everyone is safe). We have had record floods here for the past three years in a row and it is always fun to go look at it.

Wendy
