This week we are making sausage and egg quiche
1 pie crust
1/2 pound of ground sausage
( you can substitute for bacon or any other meat)
1 cup Shredded Cheddar
1 cup Shredded Swiss (it is better is you shred yourself)
3 beaten eggs
1 1/4 cup of milk or light cream
3/4 tsp of salt
1/8 tsp of pepper
Brown sausage and drain. Put into bottom of pie shell. Top with cheeses. I usually mix them together prior to adding them. Combine eggs, cream, S & P in a bowl whisk slightly, then pour over cheeses. Bake @ 350 for about 35- 40 minutes. Let set about 10 minutes then serve.
