Welcome to the Blog Plantation Y'all

Our family welcomes you and thanks you for stopping by to visit. We are delighted you have taken a few minutes out of your day to spend with us. We are Joe and Jessica. We have two children and one very regal beagle! We post often and it usually includes details of our Christian faith; life here in the South; entertaining our family and friends; tales of our travels; as well as the daily adventures of having two children. Oh, and our passion for Alabama Crimson Tide Football!
Grab a mint julep, relax, and enjoy the site. Don't forget to leave us a message. You can click under any blog entry to do so. We love to hear from our guests.

Oil Spill on the Gulf Coast

As you know, my family JUST moved down to the Gulf Coast.
The oil is expected to hit our beach late Sunday night/ early Monday morning.
You can smell the oil in the air now.

The seas are up to 8 ft and EXTREMELY rough.

I pray that this has a  minimal impact on all of us.

Thanks for dropping by Y'all!

Meeeee too! I am sick over this. But if there is a saving grace, thank goodness it isnt a heavy crude oil. The people loosing jobs (fisherman) saddens me, I wonder how it will impact the summer travel industry there too. Praying for th eanimals...and everyone.

The pipc you have posted.....my parents used to own a place just to the right when you cross the bridge. They sold and bought in OB and Perdido.

Speaking of...planning to come to OB sometime week of June 18-25th. Will y'all be in town, at that time? Hope we can get the girls together.

LOVE....

I've wanted to blog about this but right now I feel a bit speechless. SCARED. I worry about the economy in our area... the people that will be hurt. I worry about the beauty of coastal Alabama. I worry about the animals and sea life that are being hurt. We haven't smelled it yet, not where we live. PRAYING for our beautiful state and for our neighboring states.
