Groundhog Day: Punxsutawney Phil VS Birmingham Bill



 Well, much to my disgust 

Punxsutawney Phil

did see his shadow and predicted 6 more weeks of winter.
However, the ever so gallant southern gentleman
Birmingham Bill
did not!

    Well hooray for Bill, who joins his Northern counterpart, Staten Island Chuck, in predicting an early spring. I say, Hooray for these brave little ground hogs!

    I hope that one of these years Phil pops out wearing a hawaiian shirt and wearing flip flops! THEN we'll REALLY have something to celebrate!

    I'd never heard of Bill but I like him a lot more than Phil. I'm not ready for hot weather but some spring sunshine sure would be nice.
