Foodie Friday!

Thank you for joining us for Foodie Friday! Be sure to visit Gollum for more yummy recipes!

We are making two very easy desserts.
Homemade Ice cream and Cherry Cobbler
They can be eaten together
but if so
you might want to leave out
the butterfingers in the ice cream.

Shopping list
Ice cream maker
2 cups Heavy whipping cream
2 cups 1/2 and 1/2
1 14oz can condensed milk
2 Tablespoons of vanilla extract

(optional) bag of fun size butterfingers crushed

Combine all ingredients and follow
your manufacturer's directions for freezing
Just before Ice cream sets add crushed Butterfingers
ENJOY!

Now I mentioned yesterday that my daughter had become ill with H1N1 Seems comfort food was on the prescription pad. She asked for Cherry Cobbler. I had to make it two nights in a row now.
So I am adding our recipe for Mammie's Cobbler
Shopping List:
1 stick butter
3/4 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup milk
pinch of salt
1 can of pie filling (your favorite flavor)
melt butter in casserole pan
in a different bowl mix
ALL other ingredients except pie filling
Then pour into melted butter do not stir

Then add pie filing again do not stir

Bake @ 250 degrees for 30 minutes
Then @ 400 degrees until brown

Let sit about 15 minutes then serve and ENJOY!
Thanks for dropping by Y'all!
